چکیده
Abstract Thermal properties have significant impact on ecological footprint and life-cycle assessment of buildings. This is even more crucial aspect for glass buildings, which been criticised as major factors in climate change around the world. Recent debates facades, culminated plans a “glass building ban” New York City highlighted importance innovation construction. The current solutions mitigating energy consumption facades are improving insulation (U-value) solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) with advanced glazing or using shading devices. A fourth approach recent technology water-filled (WFG), utilizes water layer to improve thermal comfort performance facade. paper introduces Smart Water-filled Glass (SWFG) control method, enables opacity facade element by colouring fluid over year regarding seasonal changes. changing transparency cooling heating demand evaluated simulating analysing reference office room large different climates. significance this evaluation that switchable simulated assessed here first time. analyses seven cities from all relevant climatic regions LBNL WINDOW TRNSYS (v.18) As novel approach, simulation study makes it possible evaluate overall two proposed operational methods (insolation-based & storage-based) adjusting settings depending conditions reusability captured layer. Moreover, base cases presented compare system, including conventional (e.g. double triple with/without shading) state-of-the-art electrochromic EC). results verify hypothesis SWFG compared WFG varies 0%-5.28% hot climates 0.25–3.39% demand. discussion includes comparison standard where shows 47.41%-78.01% savings climate. climate-based offers shift design sees buildings an opportunity sustainability rather than liability change.

Management of electric and thermal energy consumption in residential building
In residential section, Studies have shown that, along with the use of various household consumption management techniques, the so-called hubs of energy can also be used to improve the performance and management of home energy management. In each electrical energy system, customers are aiming to minimize their energy costs. In this paper, it can be seen that in each home a home-made residential...

Before the modern era, cities were built on a scale that did not change the environmental balance significantly. With the expansion of population and the expansion of cities and the conversion of settlements into big cities and metropolises, new conditions have emerged which show that cities today make their own climates. The new climates created in these areas are completely different from the...

With some recent developments, the zero energy building and near zero energy building has gained a worldwide attention and now it is seen as the future building concept. Since such buildings are now the center of attraction, various advancements in this area are being reported. This paper is a detailed review of the literature on the zero (or near zero) energy building (ZEB) envelope components...

tinuously increasing and now accounts for about one third of the total electrical energy produced in Europe. Many individuals would be interested in saving energy (and thus also carbon dioxide as well as money), but they lack information on their consumption. Indeed, feedback on household electricity usage is typically only provided by monthly (or even annual) utility bills and therefore remain...
